San Diego County Residents can joind Santa and Mrs. Claus for a FREE Train Ride Dec. 16th from Oceanside to Sorrento Valley and back. Here’s the Southbound pick-up times… Get there EARLY!!!

Santa’s Coaster Experss
Santa’s Coaster Express will be decorated for the holidays and filled with holliday fun. There will be music, singing, and pictures with Santa. The train ride begins at 2 pm at the Oceanside Transid center and will operate at reduced speeds and continue all the way down to Sorrento Valley. The ride is being sponsored by the North County Transit District (NCTD).

San Diego CA - San Deigo Mortgage rates continue to decline! Thirty-year, Fixed-Rate mortgages averaged 6.11 percent this past week, down from 6.14 percent last week according to Freddie Mac. This great news was also reported in their nationwide survey. “The only time this year that San Diego Mortgage rates have been lower were the Week of Jan 19th, when the thirty-year Fixed-rate was at 6.10 percent”, according to George Spear- a Senior Mortgage Broker and Realtor with San Diego Financial.
Rates on 15-year, Fixed-rate mortgages were also lower this last week. 15 year fixed-rate mortgages fell to 5.84 percent from 5.87 percent. For one-year adjustable rate loans rates fell to 5.43 percent from 5.46 percent. Five year adjustable rate mortgages fell to 5.92 percent.
Freddie Mac reports do not include add on fees or points. Thirty year, 15 year, and 5 year mortgages each carry an average of 0.5 points while one year adjustable mortgages carried an average fee of 0.70 points.

California Unemployment rate dropped to 4.5% in October.
San Diego CA. - I reported the other day in a post titled “Southern California Home Buyers are being Duped!”, that California State Unemployment rates were at 5 year lows and that the media was failing to report this great news…
Well I was wrong. The newest figures are out and California Unemployment rates are at 30 year lows!
San Diego County unemployment rates dropped to 3.6%. The San Diego County unemployment rates have NOT been this low since last December, according to the states Employment Development Department. On a seasonally adjusted basis, California ADDED 9,300 Jobs in October and 17,900 Jobs in September. With 5 of the state’s 11 major industries adding workers last month. Why is this not being reported??? Is it because the media has been saying we are either in or heading for a recession for the last 6 years? So what is being reported?
