San Diego CA - “Rents are on the rise again in San Diego County”, according to a Fall Survey released yesterday by the San Diego County Apartment Association. SDCAA’s survey looked at 50,524 San Diego County Rentals of which 88 percent were one or two bedroom rentals and found that the average rent to be $1,237.
Average San Diego County Rents increase by 5.8% over 2005
- Studio $ 919.54 increased 12.5%
- 1 bedroom 1,075.42 increased 6.3%
- 2 bedroom 1,352.28 increased 7.4%
- 3+bedroom 1,650.98 increased 4.7%
Total San Diego County Vacancies Decreased by 11.5%*
What is driving the decreases in Vacancies? The Media would have you believe that it is due to buyers sitting on the sidelines waiting for the bottom to fall out of this market… But lets be real. The Real issue here is Housing Affordablity!
